The plane is taking off for Nigeria in an hour. Juliet has no choice but to say farewell, to a dream and to new friends. Originally she wanted to go to Canada, but the exodus ended in Germany, where Juliet didn’t know a soul. Then she was able to take refuge with some out-of-the-ordinary people. The feature MY HOME IS YOUR HOME (original title: MEIN HAUS IST DEIN HAUS) portrays a very special project in Hamburg.

VOICES OF THE PRESS

“Authors Carsten Rau and Hauke Wendler document everyday events at the flat-sharing community with a critical and dedicated eye. Life is simple. Donations and earnings flow into one pot and everyone is called upon to do their share of housework. And yet, the problems that arise each day are often grim.”
(Heide-Marie Göbbel, kna)
